This lovely Missouri State Park, is located just north of Kansas City, 7 miles east of the Kearney exit on I-35. Jesse James birthplace is just a few miles from the park. They have a beautiful, wooded campground . . .crowded until about 9 AM Easter morning, when most left for their family gatherings. Since we don't usually participate in such gatherings, the three of us enjoyed Easter hiking and biking and enjoying the birding in the park. There is also a restored 1854 home and woolen mill at the park. Chilly at night, beautiful during the day. The weekend was made even better by a visit from some great podders, Grant and Terri, who live nearby. More pictures including pictures of Louie Dalmatian can be seen, if interested, at<SPAN =Apple-converted-space> http://outdoors.webshots.com/<SPAN style="DISPLAY: inline-block" =word_break>album/582618401lYraMi
