    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.rpod-owners.com/member_profile.asp?PF=1464" rel="nofollow">coopercdrkey</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 2399<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 08 Nov 2012 at 9:08am<br /><br />177 for us, and it suits us to a "T".<div><br></div><div>Because of work related responsibilities, we can only "escape" for a couple of nights midweek. &nbsp;We also gravitate to the Florida State Parks, so with their fine facilities the lack of a dry bath is less of a problem. &nbsp;Storage is more than adequate. &nbsp;The R-Dome goes up every time so living space is huge! &nbsp;Most cooking is done on outside charcoal grill, and our cooler is more than adequate for two days worth of groceries. &nbsp;(And beer!)</div><div><br></div><div>Our 177 is mostly for shelter- &nbsp;beds, potty, AC/heat. &nbsp;Tows easy and sets up fast. &nbsp;What more do you want?</div>]]>

Donna likes the fact you can make the bed and its out of the way, you don't have to put the table up and down, ours does have 2 full size bunks in the front in case we ever get grandchildren, oh well maybe next time.]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.rpod-owners.com/member_profile.asp?PF=1034" rel="nofollow">dsmiths</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 2399<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 27 Mar 2012 at 9:32pm<br /><br />Rex, I bought new leader and some new flys and some poppers for my 5 weight, dog gone it, dont want to fall and break anything, hope you are mending, I have to laugh, about 2 years ago I fell through a ceiling and ran a flouresent tube through my right leg below the knee, 23 stitches later i was walking stiff legged, had to go to the creek and fish with ultra light for small mouth, trying to get down the bank caught my stiff right leg still in stitches in a root, and yep face down in 2 feet of water, saved the rod, lost the cell phone, fishing seems to be getting dangerous.  <img src="http://www.rpod-owners.com/smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> ]]>

Was fly fishing slipped and broke my leg and ankle,10 screws and a plate,as of todays date i am walking and plan to go next weekend to a park close to us here in Stuart.SO far knock on wood i havent had eny problems with my 171.We are both short and have no troubles getting around in it. We bought a RP 171 in 2010 and used it for one season and towed it for over 20 000 km all across Canada. Unfortunately the unit developed a major problem and since we had been unhappy with the wet bath and the climbing over each other in the midde of the night we traded the unit for one with a dry bath and a walkaround queen bed.<div>&nbsp;</div><div>While we had the&nbsp;Pod it was a lot of fun and served us reasonable well but as more birthdays pile up........well some of you&nbsp;know that story as well. <img src="http://www.rpod-owners.com/smileys/smiley4.gif" height="18" width="18" border="0" alt="Big smile" title="Big smile" /></div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>We wish everyone a fun and safe upcomming camping season.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp;</div>]]>

Since we spend most of our camping time outside, the 171 is just right for the two of us and still comfy when our daughter is along.  The dome makes it a really nice camping 'system'!]]>
