    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.rpod-owners.com/member_profile.asp?PF=410" rel="nofollow">TerryM</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 2180<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 18 Oct 2011 at 8:05am<br /><br />The national forest is located in northern Florida along I-10 between Jacksonville and Lake City.&nbsp; I was camped in the East Tower Hunting camp.&nbsp; There are no hookups.&nbsp; Not even a dump station.&nbsp; There isn't even any designated camping sites.&nbsp; You just pull in and park.&nbsp; There is no registration and its free.&nbsp; Stay as long as you like.&nbsp; If you like it quiet this place is for you.&nbsp; During the day all you hear are birds and at night all you hear is tree frogs!&nbsp; Tall pine trees and live oaks covered with Spanish moss.<br><br><b>Wild life:</b>&nbsp; Bears, rattle snakes, deer, armadillos, eagles,ospreys,wild pigs and the usual small games and critters.<br><br><b>Campgrounds and hunting camps:</b>&nbsp; There is 1 full hookup type campground within the forest and it is run by the forest service.&nbsp; It is located at Ocean Pond.&nbsp; There are 9 hunting camps scattered all over the forest and are all free.<br><br>You can camp any place in the forest free.&nbsp; During deer season though you must camp in one of the designated camps.<br><br>Terry<br><br><br>]]>
