We used ours last year during a Halloween campout to roast pumpkin seeds. We'll be doing the same this year. Spray well with oil, roast at 350 for about 15-18 minutes. Should be crunchy when you taste-test. I've found our temperatures to be pretty spot on.  Carrie does a lot of baking in ours and has always gotten great results at suggested temperature with the suggested time.
 
We use 395 when we make sausage and bacon in the oven in the mornings. 
 
I think we might get one more chance this year to try toast in the oven.  We have taken our toaster before but only when we're having bagels.  I'd very much like to just not have to take it anymore though.
 
Isn't it crazy how the same ovens cause vary so widely in temps?

lol, toast is WAY to important for relearning. The very FIRST thing we put in the pod was a toaster.

We have done a pizza, but we started with a whole pizza, not this whole just throw the ingredients in and see what happens method.. cookies,  and scratch biscuits.. Ours is very consistent in it's heating, but not in anyway shape or fashion in agreement with requested temperature in convection mode.

I made up a chart..

ie:
250 = 275
275 = 300
300 = 350
350 = 425
etc.. I have not tried actually requesting 400.. I am afraid it will melt down.


First batch of cookies came out pretty nasty at "350".. caused me to do some experimenting and logging..

We've used ours a lot.

 
We do bacon and sausage in there in the mornings, quiche, biscuits.  Several different kinds of casseroles and pastas now.
 
There are still plenty of settings we haven't used, and my wife still can't figure out how to make toast in the silly thing.  We keep ending up with some really nice homemade croutons every time she tries to make toast in it. ConfusedConfused
 
She's done quite a bit of baking in it thus far though, I think the trickiest thing to date was figuring out the clock!  LOL

Aye, it is the Sunbeam one iirc.  Next time we camp I curious if I can push the pizza button throw in some peperoni and dough and sauce and see if a pizza pops out!   LOLLOL
 
While I'm certain that won't be the case, I'm rather impressed with those buttons thus far.  They are avoided on our standard microwave at home.  It's just NUKE it until it's hot.  Now in the Pod with less cooking options sometimes with rain or other bad weather, we're seeing those buttons have real uses!

Spaghetti button is now considered the AWESOME button.  We made and entire box of Rotini noodles to make into pasta salda which we ate on all week long.  Just filled a microwave safe bowl with water about an inch about the pasta level, added a bit of salt, pushed the pasta button and I think it was 18 minute setting and we had perfect pasta.
 
Didn't think to bring a collander though so straining the awesome pasta afterwards was problematic.    The DW just pushed the button and then blinked in amazement.  Simple!

Our micro has the 3 "P"s.. Potatoes, Popcorn and Pizza.. no Spaghetti button...

But now we REALLY want you guys to experiment.. and of course.. report.

Remember dogs are not as fussy as humans about their pasta..lol (in case of a minor failure..)

Has anyone used the spaghetti setting on their convection/microwave yet to make pasta?  We're leaving for a long trip and the regular menu of dogs and burgers and ribs and chicken is a bit stale already this year.
 
So I see this setting on the microwave tonight and wanted to know if anyone has any how to's, success stories, or horror stories on proper way of doing it.
 
Would love some fettucini or something some night!
