Last year we towed the Pod just about 20 000 km, first to the Yukon and on the second trip from Alberta to P.E.I. and back. While it was an enjoyable trip it was also too busy to see all the things that one wanted to see and that is one of the reasons that we decided to stay closer to home this year. The other reason was that the finance minister said NO to any long trips this year.

Take care,

There are so many places to revisit and new ones to explore, so that instead of driving all over Canada we will stay around here this season. So far we have spent a week in Banff N.P., a week in Waterton Lakes NP. and a week in Brazeau Dam, West Canal area. In August we will go back to Waterton for a week and in September we have reservations in Jasper N.P. We'll have to winterize the trailer early because end of September I have to go for eyelid surgery and will be pretty much useless for a couple of weeks.

For anyone interested here are a few links to some pictures that we took so far this year:

http://www.pbase.com/hlohmann/alberta2011

http://www.pbase.com/hlohmann/inalberta2011

Take care everyone,
