It seems like a good mechanic could upgrade the wheels and risers. Going from 14" to 15" tires doesn't seem like much.

    Author: Footslogger03
Subject: 1973
Posted: 23 Jul 2011 at 7:44pm

Well ...we've boiled our choices down to the 171 and 177 models. Thought we'd look at a few more R-Pod videos on-line today and stumbled into a 2012 "Mt Hood Edition" unit. The video was produced by a dealer out of Boise, Idaho and the person doing the presentation explained that this was a special Rocky Mountain version of the R-Pod being built in Oregon and designed for the roads and elevation out west.

Long story short ...we live in Wyoming so this definitely caught our attention. Anybody here on the forum care to comment on this? With the exception of the diamond steel plating across the lower front of the unit (this one happened to be a 171 model) it seemed like the rest of the "special features" could be added to the standard "east of the Mississippi models".

Just when we thought we had it pretty much all sorted out now there's a new wrinkle.

Help ....

Mark J
