Author: pmjensen
Subject: 1798
Posted: 16 May 2011 at 1:40pm

Another weekend has rolled around and it was time to hook up Nuestro Pod and headed out. Fortunately, we have 3 parks close by one of which usually has sites available. This weekend we went back to Isla Blanca County park on So. Padre Island, TX. The weather on Sat. was fantastic. As nice breeze an temps in the mid 80's. (We have been running in the mid to upper 90's). Upon our arrival we found we had forgotten a few things, the primary one being dinner for Sat. Got all set up at our site then did our normal thing of walking the beach and relaxing. In the afternoon we meet up with some friend who had come down the the island to fly kites. Mine was broken but was able to fly one the their kites. They asked us if we wanted to go to dinner with them, since we had forgotten ours we naturally said yes. The evening was great. We sat in the R-Dome listened to music from the stereo. Sunday started bright and sunny but slowly became overcast and even had a little (very little) rain. Just enough to get the top of the dome damp. We were happy it stopped an hour or so before we left so the dome could dry out. We were still able to walk the beach etc. As is repeated often on the forum. It's good to be out with your Pod.

Below are a few picts from this weekend.

A great recycling effort using a shipping container.

Shot from the beach.
