Let me add to the above some basic things that are, I would say, needed (if this is your first time out):
 
1. Dump hose
2. Holding tank chemical and TP tissue
3. WHITE water fill hose (make sure it is the WHITE kind, for potable water)
4. If you're doing a full hookup - a water pressure regulator
5. Wheel chocks - to keep your Pod from rolling off into the woods
6. Something like a scrap of wood or brick to set under the tongue jack - to keep it from sinking in
7. Something to level with - again, scrap wood, LYNX, BAL, etc.
 
All of this can be purchased at your RV dealer or your favorite camping supply store (Walmart).

I agree.....don't worry about it.  Just go and enjoy!  You can "fine tune" as you go and discover things.
I didn't do a single thing to my RP173.  I just took the stuff out of my old popup, put in in the Pod and off I went........no problems.  I bought it on July 2 and less than 24 hours later:
 
 
The Pods are pretty much ready to use right off of the dealership lot.  I didn't have axle risers and only
scraped the tongue jack once (no damage) - refueling in Colorado.  You'll figure out what sort of extra "goodies" you want, as you use it.  To me, that's part of the fun.  Go.....camp.....enjoy! Big smile

To put your minds somewhat at ease.  Risers are nice but not necessary.  A controller is nice, but I had a problem with mine a couple of weeks ago and you just have to be a little more careful when you brake.

I'm with you MissPolly!  All this talk about jacks and risers and controllers and all sorts of mechanical stuff from the other discussions makes me worry that I may not be so prepared after all. I'm one step closer to my first trip. Today I picked up a replacement jack to fix the one that got damaged during delivery. After lunch I had a P2 controller hooked up, so now all I have to do is install the axle risers when they arrive because otherwise there is going to be more carnage leaving the driveway.Disapprove Oh yeah and I have to install the WDH when all the parts finally arrive also last night I switched out all the bulbs inside for led's.
