Was looking for a guide for bearing repack, and got Podster's comprehensive guide.

Make sure that the antenna booster switch is on. It's a pushbutton on the antenna cable jack's wall plate behind the TV. An LED will glow if it is turned on. You then have to use the TV remote to run a channel scan on the TV to find which channels are available in the area.

We have a 2016 RP179 so it will be very similar.

The furnace uses propane for generating heat. It uses 12V to power the fan and to run the circuitry to include the thermostat to make it run.

The water pump runs on 12V. As for shore power, if the converter is working properly, it will supply 12V power while plugged in. The Air Conditioner and the electric side of the water heater require shore power. The refrigerator can run on shore power, battery (not recommended unless you are actively towing and your vehicle can provide sufficient power to both run the refrigerator and charge the battery). or propane. Before I upgraded the charging for ours, I always towed while using propane for the refrigerator. I tried battery once early on but did not realize just how much energy the 12V side of the refrigerator uses so I ended up with nearly discharged batteries in the wee hours. From that time on I used propane unless I had shore power. Now, I can tow with 12V, but as soon as we stop, it gets switched to either shore power or propane if shore power isn't available. Also, the refrigerator uses 12V for the controls, but when using propane, that energy use is minimal. It is when you are trying to use 12V to cool that the energy use is really high. That is why you should use shore power or propane unless actively driving.

One final observation: Limit your towing speed. California has a 55 mph towing speed limit. Even outside California, limit it to 60 mph or less and you will arrive much more relaxed and not spend as much on gasoline to get you there. Air resistance increases greatly as you speed up. Fuel consumption is much more the faster you go.

Also, does the water pump run on 12v and shore power?  I hope so...

On our 177 the 110 (shore power) will run the following:  lights, fantastic fan, slide out motor, water pump, furnace (runs the fan motor).  Realize our 177 is now 10 years old but will be interesting to hear others comments on this.

The rest looks correct to me even though I am missing a lot of 'extras' that you have as standard equipment on your 195.  I do not have the following that you list: range hood fan, awning motor, tongue lift motor, television, television antenna, radio/audio center, range, microwave/convection oven or air conditioner.  

Wow, when I see all those extras that are missing on my 177 I am beginning to realize maybe this is why I have never had any problems (except for changing out my 10 year old refrigerator a month ago) since purchasing our R-Pod back in January 2011

I really appreciate the work on getting good info together in the form of a "manual" for the R-Pod.

The lack of info really became apparently to me during the dealer's PDI, when the staff conducting the walk through couldn't explain accurately exactly which power sources (battery, shore AC, LP) power each appliance in my new RP-195. For this reason, I created the matrix below.

I'd appreciate feedback on this matrix to see if it is accurate (and I realize that this may not be entirely accurate for all R-Pods - e.g. Fuse/Breaker IDs might differ, rigs with smaller fridges can also operate from 12VDC battery whereas my larger fridge can't).

Just to be clear (and to sound like a complete newbie), this rating is per tire, being double the rate for two tires for total load rating.

Assumptions on my part.

113/108L  113 load rate cold? 108 load rate hot? And L is my speed rate (the 75mph)

Now, researching a few places it seems 'D' range tires are either 6 or 8 ply. Even though the tires say 2 nylon & 2 steel plys.  By the PSI rating and speed rating I'm assuming these are actually 8 ply tires..

Are these 4 ply OEM's good enough?

I'm brand new to the Rpod, so excuse the question, but if not.. Should be added to the tire portion.

I saw below you spoke of the gfci outlet being tripped, which I will check.  Also you mentioned to check the circuit breaker in the converter.  How do I do that?  Is my converter under the seat on one side?  If I open that up, where will the circuit breaker be on the converter?

Uploading new files was disabled when the forum was moved to a new server in January.

But I can't find this or any other instruction manuals for other things by going to the home page. Is there a section for instruction manual  uploads I am missing on this site? I figured there must be since it has its own path with /uploads/ in the web address.
