We just picked up our 176T three weeks ago and are set to take off this next week on our first trip out of dry dock. We have spent these weeks checking the unit, making some modifications and learning how everything works. I think our priorities were:

1) electrical, 12V and propane systems(we really focused on getting a good surge protector) and understanding how switching between the systems works

2) security (purchasing a good lock to prevent someone taking our precious pod easily while we are out of camp--probably rare but we didn't want to be the ones it happened to; we also changed out the storage locks since they are the generic key every RV has!)

3) making sure we knew how all the tanks--- potable, grey and black water tanks work

These is a quick idea of what we focused on based on our RV experience...which is absolutely none.

Note: We have towing/backing experience since we have hauled horses for years but I would think that would be a huge priority when just starting out.

Enjoy your Pod!
