We just got the 176T and when it the tent is opened you have a good deal of space all through the Pod. The kitchen slides out in this model and when out, floor space is maximized. The bunks in the front might be just right for your little one (lower bunk or upper with a good guard rail. Also, the dog could actually be in the tent area during the day--platform holds up to 1000 pounds.

I am not a dealer just love the 176T. I actually saw a used tent model for sale on line recently (we bought a new one). I need as much floor space as I can get and an RDome. I have a very large dog. I first believed an 175 was my best option. However I saw a 174 floor plan for the first time this am. The slide outs on each seem to provide extra room, but is that "noticable" extra room or just extra weight? Has the 174 been discontinued?

How much room is in front of the couch in a 173?

I would appreciate any information and experience that you may want to share. Also, if another floor plan would be even better than the ones I am investigating please suggest it.

FYI - Some background: I am short about 5'4", my dog is a mastiff 160 lb, my son is an infant 4 mnths. I like to go off roading in my jeep, and now with my son I need to take a camper for his comfort. I have never camped in my life, but it looks like fun! My jeep will tow 3500 lbs - 4 door 2008. So an Rpod is just about all the camper I can tow. (I don't want a pop-up.)

Thanks so much Polly
