Going through the mountains on the north route is scenic, green, but steeper grade due to the mountains. Towing with a 15 yo V-6, I babied it on the ascents, of course moving over to the truck lane up the mountains. On the southern route, it was more comfortable slow grade (not as steep as the north route). Despite the 75 mph speed limit, i stayed below 65 mph. The truck would go faster, I've read so much about tires exploding I just tried to stay out of everyone's way. I have 2 yo Goodyear Endurance tires. Previous owner of my RPOD blew the fender half off (steel fender) with an exploding tire.]]>
