My understanding is that the E4 error has to do with the air conditioner units that are heat pumps and can be reversed to provide heat. Since we don't have a heat pump, the error is spurious. The first site had some suggestions about how to clear the E4 error, but they were further down on the page. Only some general info.  Check the fuses for the A/C and heater.

New members as of 11/1/2023. 
We have a new to us 2018 RP180 purchased in spring of 2023. All systems worked great. Now however, when trying to use the heater, I pushed through the prompts on the Dometic thermostat to the heat position. Then, the AC kicked on with E4 code on the thermostat and the heater blower came on with no heat. Has anyone on this forum had the same issue, and how was it resolved? Thanks for any info.
