It does not work. A good biological agent will do a much better job. Happy Camper is a good product. So is RV Digest-It or other biological cleaners. Chemical cleaners mask odor but do not promote break down of solids.

The 177 might be similar to the 179. The pipe between the toilet and the tank did have a curve to it. Always make sure to use plenty of water when flushing anything but liquid to help stuff move past the offset and into the tank. I'm not sure what mechanism you are referring to. The valve isn't a straight flap. I was just going to post a similar question only mine I believe is clogged up top. I can see t paper stuck. I always thought the tube went straight down but not I think it curves in. Also what is that little mechanism that you can see below the flap. Seems everything is stuck around that. Advice appreciated. Use a good biological agent in your tank to break down the waste and TP. I'm currently using Happy Camper. I've also used RV Digiest-it, or other biological agents. Thanks. A good doze of Drano seems to have cured the problem. There are a number of videos on Youtube that show how to unclog the tank drain. I believe the outlet is plugged. I have bought a Drano product that includes a spiked plastic flexible wand about 58 cms long. Will try it out tomorrow after the gel has had a go at the blockage.
