I use a long reach screwdriver and a lot of bad words. Where did you get the magnets for your valances that replaces the screws, that sounds like a very simple solution.</div><div>Thanks a lot.&nbsp;</div>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.rpod-owners.com/member_profile.asp?PF=1146" rel="nofollow">jato</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 15789<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 30 Jul 2023 at 7:25pm<br /><br />Jon, once you take those chintzy blinds off you may consider changing them out for something a bit nicer and quieter.&nbsp; We replaced the ugly back curtain on our 177 ten years ago with a 2x cellular shade from Blinds.com.&nbsp; They carry a plethora of styles, colors, ect. to match whatever your tastes may be.&nbsp; Also three years ago we got tired of hearing the clack, clack of the metal shades whenever the wind blew so back to Blinds.com we went and replaced all 5 of those metal buggers with 1" wide wooden blinds.&nbsp; Much quieter!&nbsp; The only downside one may have (we don't) with these is when they are all the way in the up position they still hang about 2-3" below the bottom of the valence.&nbsp; Again the options are many, you may wish to consider them.<br>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.rpod-owners.com/member_profile.asp?PF=8731" rel="nofollow">JR</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 15789<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 29 Jul 2023 at 10:50am<br /><br />There should be 4 screws attaching the valances to the wall 1 in the upper corner of each end of the valance and another one on the bottom of both ends.&nbsp; They are buried under the cloth.&nbsp; This includes all the valances in my 179 other the one mounted under the storage cabinet, which is attached to the cabinet.<div><br></div><div>If the reason you are taking the blinds down is to restring them, check youtube you will find there are a couple good videos on restringing the blinds.&nbsp; It's not a difficult job.&nbsp; Hope this helps&nbsp;</div>]]>

Haphazardly screwed in on different angles.  Replaced shade with a blackout from blinds galore.  They will sent sample colors before ordering.  Original shades were an ash gray but each company has their own colors.  I used powerful very thin magnets to remount valance. Solid enough that a portable speaker can be placed on top and they don’t fall down while driving.  The shade screws are visible once valance is removed. ]]>
