It’s a large red switch located near the battery at the front driver side of newer R-Pods. If you are charging the battery with an AC power cord connected to the R-POD AC receptacle  - you are powering the R-POD’s internal AC-to-DC converter. You need to leave the red battery cut off switch ON to get the battery to charge.

If you are charging the battery with a separate 12V DC battery charger plugged into your house (like used to recharge a car battery) then you need to leave the battery cut off switch OFF.

Minimum, turn the switch off.  Or you can disconnect the negative side of the battery.
