    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.rpod-owners.com/member_profile.asp?PF=418" rel="nofollow">Outbound</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 1545<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 09 Jan 2011 at 10:34am<br /><br />Currently, I just tether my netbook to my <a href="http://us.blackberry.com/smartph&#111;nes/blackberrybold/" target="_blank">BlackBerry 9700</a> using bluetooth. &nbsp;No jailbreaking or special software required. &nbsp;I have a 6GB data plan which includes tethering for $30/mo. &nbsp;Its rare that I exceed 3GB in a month, even though I tether it almost daily. &nbsp;Using it couldn't be easier: I just open my netbook and it resumes (I never power off) and it finds and connects to my BlackBerry automatically.<div><br></div><div>Before I got my BlackBerry and bodacious data plan, I had a <a href="http://www.novatelwireless.com/index.php?opti&#111;n=com_c&#111;ntent&amp;view=article&amp;id=177&amp;Itemid=58" target="_blank">Novatel u720</a> internet stick (I bought it 4 years ago) and then a <a href="http://www.novatelwireless.com/index.php?opti&#111;n=com_c&#111;ntent&amp;view=article&amp;id=176:sprint-novatel-wireless-ovati&#111;n-u727-evdo-rev-a&amp;catid=23:ovati&#111;n-usb-devices&amp;Itemid=55" target="_blank">Novatel u727</a> internet stick (bought it 2 years ago). &nbsp;I could plug either directly into my laptop/netbook or into my <a href="http://www.evdoinfo.com/c&#111;ntent/view/2124/63/" target="_blank">CradlePoint CTR-350</a> travel router if I wanted to share my internet connection. &nbsp;When travelling with our r-pod, I'd plug in&nbsp;the modem+router&nbsp;(it ran off of 12v)&nbsp;before we pulled out of the storage lot and leave it on 'till we got home; no matter where we travelled, we had our own hotspot.</div><div><br></div>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.rpod-owners.com/member_profile.asp?PF=431" rel="nofollow">rpodcamper.com</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 1545<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 09 Jan 2011 at 9:44am<br /><br /><DIV>I have fought with mobile internet access for years and come up with a neat way to surf the web.&nbsp; I have had a work Iphone 3gs for about 2 years with unlimited data plan on it.&nbsp; Back in July 2010 it began legal to "Jailbreak" your Iphone.&nbsp; (Jailbreak means to allow your iphone to run other software Apple has not approved in the App Store).&nbsp; One of the applications out there is MyWi which allows you to tether the phone to a computer and use wireless or USB to surf the net.&nbsp; Works well when you have a signal.&nbsp; Cost of the application was about $20.00 one time and then NO added monthly fee as I already have the unlimited Data PLan.&nbsp; Only problem with it is that I can not take the newest apple update to the phone as Apple will break the jailbreak.</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>Anyone else come up with other ways for mobile internet?</DIV>]]>
