I don't know what type of tv you have. Make sure the antenna booster switch is turned on. It is a small push button generally on a cover plate near the cable/tv connection. Push it in and there should be a little red light alerting you that it is on. Hopefully that will solve your problem.

Make sure to turn it off when finished or it can run down the battery if you are not hooked to shore power.It will be a constant drain on the battery when turned on.
