I never had any trouble getting my 179 cooled comfortably down even in direct sun with temps in the high nineties and high humidity.<br /><br />So my first impression is that something's not quite right with your a/c. Are the evaporator or condenser fins really dirty? One other possibility is evaporator freeze up, especially if you encountered high humidity. Does it seem to be blowing the normal amount or air? Beyond those you'll probably have to have an a/c tech take a look at it. ]]>

Being in full sun will definitely impact the unit's ability to cool.<br>]]>
