Another idea is to pitch the whole curtain idea and simply install a 2x cellular shade.  Instant up and down for privacy or viewing the outdoors.  We did this on the rear window of our 177 several years ago, a great mod IMHO.  Even with the radius of the rear wall the bottom of the shade is easily attached by inserting the bottom of the shade into a pair of plastic 'holders' that have a short 1/4" pin sticking out.

Good idea! We may do just that. I've been augering out a larger hole for the head with a knife. Hi. We would like to sew together a replacement for our rotting kitchen curtain in the Gastropod. Would any of you be able to point us toward the strip od clips Forest River sewed onto the original that allows the curtain to slide along the plastic rail?

That rail has been a pain from the beginning due to the large screw heads they installed it with, so part of this task is finding similar screws with smaller heads. We will appreciate any advice from anyone ahead of us on the same path.
