Hello Charlie (and anyone else that reading in for the first time!), welcome.

I bought an Anderson wdh and haven't regretted it. Just follow the directions provided (as well as go over the info available on this site regarding loading your trailer safely and ensuring you have 12 to 14% tongue weight...even with a wdh).

Once it is all set up properly it is easy to attach/disconnect.

One thing we added to our wdh is some Rock Stoppers. Personal choice, plenty of people wouldn't, just adding it here in case you hadn't thought of it. I don't like my tires throwing rocks behind me as they are a fairly aggressive tread.

Another Anderson item we got and we love is the trailer leveler blocks..one piece looks like the Amazon logo, Thin at one end and thicker at the other. It works well with our electronic level indicator and getting the trailer leveled/positioned. Just carefully drive onto the tapered block and my electronic leveler tells me when I am level side to side via the app on my phone. No more jumping in and out of the truck repeatedly.

There are several out there, some free and some subscription. We use Road Trippers and Allstays. Hard to beat a Garmin unit for navigation. It doesn't need cellular data or even a cellular signal to work. Some areas are very much lacking in cell service, so you don't want to be out somewhere and your maps can't update because you don't have a signal.

Campgrounds? There are lots of apps, but my go-to app is RV Parky. It helps find not just campgrounds, but also places to boondock.

Hi Charlie, welcome.  I'll bet the Tekonsha would work for you with the right adapter harness.  We considered moving our Prodigy P2 from our Traverse to our RAM but decided to get the OEM installed instead. Integrates into the dash as well as gives you a few dash options we liked.  Something to consider.  Probably 500 or so installed, so more expensive.

Far as a WDH is concerned, highly recommended and there are quite a few out there to choose from.  Someone with Anderson exp will probably chime in.  Don't have that brand myself.

Welcome to the forum.  Sorry to hear about your Bullet, that is a nice TT.  Yes, with proper maintenance you will get 10-15 years out of your 193.  We have an 11 year old 177 that has traveled a lot and still looks nearly new.  Has held up well under a lot of weather conditions, be they sun, snow, sleet, rain.  Have fun with your 193.

Hi Ray, I would recommend looking at either a 195, or a 196. I own a 195 but I replaced the dinette with a jackknife sofa because we found the dinette useless. The 196 comes with the sofa in it already (not sure if it's a jack knife). But the sofa I put in, is much better quality than the one that would come with it. It is a great couples camper, and the jack knife gives us an extra bed if one of my kids visits. I hope you enjoy what ever you choose, even if it's not a pod.

Hello Ray, and I hope you can find the right RV or trailer to suit your needs on the first try.

If I may suggest a few things to consider as you move forward...the 2 of you will need to decide what your use is going to be (weekends only or months at a time), what your tow vehicle will be if it is a trailer (lots of discussion already here, use the search function). Offgrid, IMHO, has the most comprehensive discussions on how to calculate weight and tow your trailer safely as weight and balance is critical to prevent trailer sway.

My quick and dirty general advice for towing is to find the gross combined weight for your tow vehicle and trailer (I will use my trucks numbers here)...mine is 14000 lbs. Now find the max allowable weight for your tow vehicle itself...mine is 7000 lbs...subtract your max truck weight from the gross combined weight...14000 - 7000 = 7000 lbs this is the maximum trailer weight for my truck...our rp192 is just under 5000 lbs if fully loaded, so I have approximately 2000 lbs of extra weight capacity remaining which is a good margin in my mind. OFFGRID has provided a calculator to ascertain if you have enough tongue weight (super important to have over 10 percent of your trailer weight on the tongue of your trailer) and your trailer is not overloaded.
