  We have USAA and pay $37.00 for six months full coverage and 1,000.00 deductible except towing that is 0 deductible. Curious as to what you pay.  For us it is a small amount.  Pioneer Insurance (Lansing, MI) charges us $120/year full coverage, full replacement coverage and $500 deductible for collision/comp.

As long as you're OK with possibly bearing the full cost of replacement should you be in a bad accident, go for it.
