Pretty close to the halfway point and goes through Amistad NRA.&nbsp;<div><br></div><div>If you been, please do pass along your impressions of the route.</div><div><br></div><div>Leaving Big Bend is a run to a Ghost Town and Big Bend Ranch before we turn north again to Marfa (for the lights) and onward too Carlsbad.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div>]]>

We enter and spend a few days in San Antonio as we explore the MIssion trail. Ya, I have to see the Alamo!</div><div><br></div><div>From there we head to Big Bend, yet to long a drive with too much in between.. We won't make that drive! We just explore too much...</div><div><br></div><div>Amistad Nation Rec Area looks really cool, yet best I can tell is closed.. Any clue here?</div><div>Backup would be to use one of these 'roadside' spots (rest areas to me) that allow overnighting. Anyone have any experience with these or up to date info?</div><div><br></div><div>I'm working San Antonio to Big Bend and hoping to explore a bit along the way.
