No drought all year in my area (Fancy Gap/ Hillsville). The recurring statement from there was they were in a drought... You could see signs of it, yet we saw rain on a daily basis in the afternoon.

Well, then came TS Fred and we saw a lot of rain!!!

It's not usually that cloudy and rainy in the Blue Ridge area. Unless you are dealing with all the rain from a string of tropical systems as we have been lately.

Thanks for sharing.  Weather reminds me of northern Michigan, clouds, clouds and more clouds.
