I thought the fire TV stick only has USB for power. Like Apple TV it is intended as a streaming device. <br /><br />I think the Roku Ultra might do what you want. Has more bells and whistles.You can also just use an HDMI adapter to your smartphone and put your video files on that. ]]>

You would need a smart device to read the thumb drive and output to the tv via hdmi. Any laptop made in the last 10 years would probably work.]]>
