The water heater element is 1440 watts or about 12A, the a/c is about 15-16 amps.

But why would you? You will use much more fuel converting it's energy to electricity in the generator (which is only going to be about 20% efficient) than you would just to burn propane directly in the water heater (about 80% efficient).

If you have a big enough genny, you can run both, even with h/w set to electric. If you run the h/w on propane, it will require very little electric, so a much smaller wattage is needed. If you have an easy start, you could probably run the a/c and h/w on propane, with a 2000 watt. but it would be tight. You would probably need to turn of the charging side of the converter.
