Thanks all for the informative and helpful replies - staying with the 15" tires and will look into purchasing Carlisle or Goodyear in ST225/75R15 assuming you can use the same rims as discussed - the 235/75R15 and the 225/75R15 are very close in size - just wanted to confirm they were close enough : )

We are on our 3rd set of tires, first time with "D" load rating as the first 2 sets were  "C".  Went with Carlisle, excellent tire, no issues.  Make certain you pay a few extra $$ to get them speed balanced.

You shouldn't have to replace wheels if you stay with 15" tires reasonably close to the original width, which any trailer tire will be.

I replaced the tires(205's) on our 179 with Goodyear Endurance 215's and did not need to replace rims.  I did use improved valve stems and balanced them
they are quite superior to the originals installed by the factory.  The sidewalls are stiffer, they bounce less, do not leak air and seem to roll smoother and quieter.  I like them after 1.5-2 years

Reviewing the previous posts on replacing original tires on 2015 HRE Rpod 177 and similarly equipped pods, seems prudent to replace the original Westlake LT235/75R15 M+S now because of age, despite relatively low mileage. As others encountered, this is an odd-sized Light Truck tire with a "C" load rating. Prefer a "D" rated ST tire.

Question: Do you have to replace the rims/wheels if selecting a pair of more commonly found ST225/75R15 replacement tires, Carlisle or Goodyear Endurance or similar? Also would appreciate some tire recommendations or knowing more about what others in this situation have done.
