Glad to have you aboard.  Definitely change out that mattress, if it hasn't already been done by the previous owner.  Otherwise you will likely have a sleepless night.  Good call on having your 'maiden voyage' or shakedown trip in your driveway.  Enjoy that 179.

Thanks Stephen, I will check yours out. We've seen many Pod Mods already, planning to extend the bed with the underneath plywood mod this weekend so we can sleep better. Congratulations and welcome! I hope you have many fun adventures and make many great memories with your RPod 179. We have the 2016 RP-179 and have enjoyed it very much. I've done a number of modifications (see link in signature). Hello all, we just picked up a 2017 179 and are getting her ready for initial trip. I have to put a tow package on my '07 Tacoma (Oil cooler, trans cooler, brake controller and 7 pin tow plug), but that's a lot cheaper than buying a used TV. She's a great truck and will have a 6700lb tow capacity then. The R Pod is very clean and everything seems to be working, we'll be driveway camping tonight.
I look forward to reading all the posts and sharing and asking for info. I joined some of the groups on FB as well, Podders seem to be a great community!
