Forest RIver's Western parts rep, Tina,&nbsp; said she'd "try to have a look at them over the next few weeks" and get back to me.&nbsp; She said they would "install outriggers if necessary" at the factory after I have it shipped there.&nbsp; Apparently, Forest River won't send the outriggers to me or to my RV tech.&nbsp; So, I am looking for another source for outriggers for an RPod 180.&nbsp; Does anyone have any suggestions on where to find some.]]>

There is really very little weight on them, rpod walls are very light. The problem isn't that the loads are high it's that the floor is weak. Having to add the braces is a patch on the underlying (pun intended) problem. FR should put a stronger floor in rpods. ]]>

Cantilevers are used all the time to extend the span of beams, and they generally work well.<br /><br />The problem here is the thin lauan sandwich loses stiffness over time so while the cantilever design is sound in concept in practice it didn't work. ]]>

If unsure get a wood moisture meter. Inexpensive and very handy tool to have around. Check to be sure there isnt any water damage in the floor in that area if you haven't already. If not, then jack her up and add outrigger brackets as needed. Get more if you need to, can't hurt. Then, reaseal both the top and bottom edges. Since the walls are resting on the sagging floor the walls must have dropped down too which would compromise the seals.]]>

That's why you often see cantilevered beams with the outer supports inboard a bit. ]]>
