As for the cover, I am torn over replacing it also.

First Camping Trip : We got back, yesterday afternoon,...

    Author: psaman
Subject: 1416
Posted: 07 Sep 2010 at 1:55pm

We got back, yesterday afternoon, from Sponge Pod's maiden voyage and overall we are very happy. We spent the Labor day weekend at Goliad State park (sorry, just a couple pictures) and were pleased with the park facilities and with our Pod. The only minor issue was with some water that had pooled under the bed; but we figured came from us drying off after stepping out of the shower. I could find no evidence of a leak under the sink or from the shower. Both grey and black water dumps went without a hitch. Our Endeavor pulled very nicely and seemed most comfortable in the 55 to 60 mph range. Our gas mileage was 10 mpg.
My only disappointment was the disappearance of the spare tire cover. I have to admit that I did not notice if it was there when we picked up Sponge Pod from storage, so am not sure if it came off in transit or not. Has anyone else lost the cover while towing?
