I discovered that the Endurance D in 215/75 - 14 was not currently on back order. I will pick them up in the morning! +1 to mcarter. In addition the difference is going to be load rating. I couldn't find a Road King trailer tire. I found Trailer King tires:

St 205/75 R14 LRC's: 1760 lbs 5.5 inch rims

ST 215/75 R14 LRC's 1870 lbs 6 inch rims

ST 205/75 R 14 LRD's 2040 lbs 5.5 inch rims

ST 215/75 R 13 LRD's 2200 lbs 6 inch rims

I'm with you, I don't mind Chinese tires. I just feel that 1760 lbs doesn't provide enough safety margin for an rPod. Since I run a heavy 179, I changed to 15 inch wheels and LR tires at 2540 lbs rating. Since the tires came already mounted I saved the mounting fee and was able to sell my old tires and wheels on CL. Wound up with free wheels.

We have Goodyear Endurance tires on our 179. They are available in 215/75/r14 in LRD. we have used them since they became available and love them. we replaced Maxxiis 8008 and find the new GY are much stiffer, tow better(not as bouncy or sway prone) and ride cooler. I check the temps at every stop with an IR thermometer.

Obviously your tire pressure will be increased. There is not as much flex in the tire. The story I tell is that when I would enter a campground over speed bumps the staff would invariably tell me I had a flat. That was the flex of a C rate tire, the D rates do not do that. The tire remains firm. The tire in my opinion is more adaptable to load rate and I feel more security. I have never had a blow out Cs or Ds. Am considering going to load range "D" tires when I replace my 5 year old "C"'s at the end of this year. Have run "C"'s on our 177 for 10 years and over 35,000 miles with no problems. The original tires were LRC Road Kings's that were replaced when they were 7 years old. They were 2 years old when I purchased our 177 in 2011. I still have the original spare which I will replace as well - the build date is 4809 - so too old to keep. My replacements from Discount Tire are Hartlands LRC (China) and will be 5 years old as of next month.

So to make a short story long, what differences have you all noted going from a "C" to "D" tire? Thank you.

I think maybe you're looking at the wrong tires. You should look at ST (special trailer) tires. They are available in 205 and 215/75 r14 sizes, but not 225/75 r14 as far as I've seen. Get load range D tires, not LRC's. The LRC's are marginal to handle the axle loads of an rPod. That is more important than the country of manufacture. You could also consider LRE's, but they can be overkill and cause a rough ride. Tires with a load capacity of around 2200-2500 lbs are good as that gives you a nice safety factor above the 3500 lb divided by 2 = 1750 lb axle rating, without being too stiff.

I am the new owner of a 2014 RP178 which still has the original China Bombs. I am replacing them and am having tire size problems. The specified size is 205/75-R14. I cannot find 205 size but have 225 available in the tire I want. Will the 225 size fit my trailer.
