GC2's are supposed to be 10 7/8 tall. Are you maybe saying the plastic case is too tall? Mine fits ok but I have to kinda pop the cover on at the back. Its flexible. I think it was the Noco GC2 box.

For a single old school flooded 12V battery you might try Trojan or Exide golf cart batteries. "Marine" batteries are a compromise starting/deep cycle design so not as good for an RV house application as a golf cart batt. As for chances of overcharging my WFCO charger overcharges my GC2's enough that they require a fair amount of water if I leave it on, so I'd say its fairly high.

Good battery for our 191? : Thanks. I did buy 2 GC2’s. Killer...

I did buy 2 GC2’s. Killer was the battery case, too tall. 12 1/2”. My 2019 (2018 build) only has 11” for height. Checked out a few different brands with no luck so all in all I’m just thinking 12V deep cycle with a back up. Not planning on boondocking more than 2-3 days. Good info on the AGM. What’s the chances of overcharging?
Any suggestions on 12V brands to consider? Also I’m old school too! I still keep a jug of distilled water in the cellar!

Good battery for our 191? : The rpod battery trays do handle...

You need to buy the proper battery boxes (also for the GC2 size). Many folks have this configuration, it is the best you can do without going to lithium. Take care about the increase in tongue weight.

I don't personally like AGM (absorbed glass mat) batteries because they are sensitive to overcharging and cannot be refilled with water. Not to mention expensive.....
