When camping in the high desert or mountains the night temps can get into freezing range, but only for an hour or two, not enough to freeze warm water usually. Disconnecting the (city) water hose is good insurance just in case.

You could enclose it in foam pipe insulation and run a little water through it a few times overnight, that would probably handle temps down into the high 20's.

If you want to be sure drain the tank, disconnect the city water, and use bottled water if you hit cold conditions.

Most campgrounds in the area have running water until they are closed. If you suspect freezing overnight temps, you have two options.

You can fill the fresh water tank and use that. The volume is such that it probably will not freeze. The second option is to disconnect from city (campground) water for overnight. Drain the hose and reconnect in the morning.

You should be okay for this time of year. You might wish to call the campgrounds you plan to saty at and ask their advice.

Any weather preparation tips or thoughts from y'all? My concern is frigid mornings/water difficulties. Is it wise to invest in a water hose with the heat tape?
Thanks in advance.
