I don't use the TV as a TV at all, it functions as a monitor either for a smartphone or a laptop. A couple of 12V power points are used to run it, the phones and laptop, and a couple of clamp on fans for those warm days. I do have a 300 watt inverter but find I never need to use it. The TV is a pretty significant load for me because my wife works remotely so its often on all day. 

Although they're better these days, from decades of work on remote DC power systems I've learned to mistrust and dislike inverters, and I avoid them when possible.

I do plan to decommission the GP circuit and update the cover plate color.  My main motivation for adding the inverter is to power monitor(s) and laptops for my wife and I.  We will rarely have shore power, and a small 300w inverter should more that handle our needs.  

We could invest in a 12v TV, but suspect the energy savings would be negligible since the existing TV is pretty efficient. We don't watch a lot of TV anyway. 

I lived off-grid for a number of years, so I'm pretty comfortable monitoring my loads and battery capacity.  Solar will be on the roof soon and batteries will get upgraded shortly there after.

If you want to run a circuit off an inverter you probably just want to put in a dedicated receptacle for it. Some folks install one that is a different color so its obvious that it is the inverter circuit. 

Either that or pull off the conductors from the circuit breaker, and neutral buss for that "GP" circuit and use that one. Depends on what you want to run from the inverter, you won't be able to run heavy loads anyhow because of limited battery capacity.

For the TV, consider just replacing it with a dual 12/120V one. That's what I did, not expensive, and I don't find I need an inverter at all.

I think Mike is right.  GP must stand for General Purpose.  In my rig it only appears to control the outlets by the TV.  All of the other outlets appear to be on the GFCI/reefer circuit. That's a bit of a bummer. I was hoping the outlet by the dinette would be on the same circuit as the TV so I could run both off an inverter.  I may need to install another set of outlets on that circuit.

Probably its GF not GP. Should be a ground fault circuit breaker like you have in your house. I haven't checked it out, but believe the 15A General is used in the kitchen area.
