Temperature and speed causes tires to blow. Get the best tires you can and add metal stems and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). I will carry a DeWalt inflator and check tires every morning. I also watch pressure on TPMS and let air out during the day as it improves , ride, handling and safety. It's a science and includes measuring the weight on each wheel and adjusting pressure accordingly.

It's a fairly accepted fact that R-pods (and many others) come with crappy inferior tires, and I would recommend changing them out immediately. I have gone from the dealership to the tire shop for new tires on both of my new pods. When you have only one axle, what you put on there really matters. It'll cost you about 200 dollars to put a good set of carlisle radial tires on. Just one blow out of the inferior tires will cost over 500 dollars with the new fender, towing, new tires, new rim ETC...
