That quiets them for a while. I am not a great fan of the friction hinges, but would probably like the old way with the catch less as it would be easier for the wind to catch and swing into the fender, possibly damaging both the fender and the door on our 179.]]>

I am new to the forum &amp; excited to be here! I have a 2016 179. The problem is with the friction door. It is hard to pull open &amp; when it gets about 3/4 of the way open, it gets real sticky &amp; makes a LOUD POP! It sounds as if it will do damage &amp; I have noticed a small crack happening around the middle hinge on the door frame. Anyone else experience this &amp; any suggestions? Thank you very much!]]>
