I applied some lube & the door opens more easily & the loud pop is gone, for now. I will have to reapply, I am sure! Bothered a bit about the crack in the door frame by the middle hinge, though :/

DuPont Multi-Use Lubricant with Teflon is what I use. Part number D00110101 Bar Code 0 36121 19157 0. It comes in a blue and white spray can, 11 oz.

Periodically I apply a lubricant containing Teflon to the hinges. That quiets them for a while. Hey all! I am new to the forum & excited to be here! I have a 2016 179. The problem is with the friction door. It is hard to pull open & when it gets about 3/4 of the way open, it gets real sticky & makes a LOUD POP! It sounds as if it will do damage & I have noticed a small crack happening around the middle hinge on the door frame. Anyone else experience this & any suggestions?
