There are other brands besides Sharkbite you could use if they seem too pricey or aren’t readily available. They all work more or less the same. I buy my pex supplies online from Supplyhouse.com, or you could get them on the ‘zon if you didn’t want to go the big box route.]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.rpod-owners.com/member_profile.asp?PF=1653" rel="nofollow">Tars Tarkas</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 13577<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 25 May 2020 at 12:43pm<br /><br /><div>When I installed an outdoor shower on our 176 a few years ago I bought all the pex tools.&nbsp; Not worth it for that job, but I figured they'd come in handy over time, which they have a time or two since then.&nbsp; But, for a little job like what you're talking about, unless you want to invest in the tools, just use Sharkbite connectors.&nbsp; They just push into the pex.&nbsp; That's it.&nbsp; No tools, other than something to cut the pipe to length.&nbsp; The Sharkbite connectors cost a little more, but you'll save a ton on this job by not buying the tools.</div><div><br></div><div>TT<br></div>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.rpod-owners.com/member_profile.asp?PF=1146" rel="nofollow">jato</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 13577<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 25 May 2020 at 11:38am<br /><br />A 10 minute job (I thought) has turned into something a little longer and possibly a little more complicated.&nbsp; Was changing out the original toilet in our 2011 177 and was changing it out for a higher Thetford model that would raise the seat from the original 12.5" to the new height of 17."&nbsp; Problem came when I disconnected the pex water line I will have to extend it by 4.25."&nbsp; Is there any way I can transition pex to another plastic water line or will I have to purchase both the line and then pliers, connecters, and clamps?&nbsp; Thank you and may you have a meaningful Memorial Day.<br>]]>
