The vent on the regulator should face down. I am installing a harbor freight battery box on my 179.  
A close fit but I need to move the propane regulator.  It is mounted horizontally now.  Is it position sensitive --can I orient it vertically?  I also need to move the propane tank retainer band around 180 degrees but that is easy since it is attached with screws into the frame.
