If you used the Solar-on-the-Side you have a SAE connector. I took another and connected directly to the battery.

You can just hook it to the battery(ies) should have come with clamps. You could also add a side port, just like you had on the 172, wired to the batteries.

We have a Renogy portable solar 100w suit case which we usedto just plug in to a side of 2015 R-pod 172. Now we sold the 172 and getting 2020 R-pod 176 which has solar wireready port on the roof top by Go Power. We like a movable portable solar panelthan fixed one on the rooftop. Cananyone please tell us if we can use movable solar panel to 2020 model that hasa port on the rooftop? If so, how? We are no electricians at all. We appreciate if someone could explain indummy 101 level language. Thanks!
