Are you taking the top cushion off before moving the slide? We always take off the cushions before moving the slide

Over the last 6 months or so I have noticed that the aft portion of the slide out as it rides in an out is rubbing on the "foot stool" that is closest to the refrigerator. when it's fully closed it will bunch up to a small extent the fabric that is attached to the stool.  Anyone encountered this problem?
