I been told by some you MUST use one, and others say it's not needed. I don't know who's right, but my first pod, a 172 was uncovered for the first three winters i had it. Never had any problem. They matched Amazon's price. Our 1st one only lasted four months and got shredded from the wind storms last year here in CA. It was replaced under warranty. The replacement seems to be doing OK but I'm really careful with it.<div><br></div><div>Becareful taking it on and off. It's EASY to rip the cotton on the top. It gets brittle because of being in the sun.</div><div><br></div><div>An 8-ft step ladder helps a lot to take the cover on and off. Get a sturdy one!! It's money well spent and cheaper than a broken leg. ;)&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>The cover really does help to keep the rPod clean and free of sun damage.</div><div><br></div><div>ONT-</div>]]>
