Rallies- 9th & 10th KY Mini-Mini. and 2nd & 3rd Midwest in MN.

WI, MI, MN, SD, WY mostly State Parks.

CO, UT, NE, IA, IL, KY, TN private and Fed.

No major issues. Gray tank valve clamp broke but I noticed and took care of before it was a major issue.

I did 12k plus miles and 4 seasons on the factory original tires. I experienced no tire issues but I checked pressure every morning prior to towing. I did replace with Goodyear Endurance this year.

I started with my Ford Edge since specs said it could tow 3500#. I towed about 900 miles around WI the first season but found I did not feel comfortable so close to limit. Especially with any winds or around semis. I purchased a used Ford Expedition the second season and with it's 9000# capacity I could be comfortable with that and obsess over different issues.

Having the Expe when I did the WY, CO, UT trip made for an enjoyable trip with very good mountain driving. I usually got about 12 MPG, 11-14 MPG towing and 12-18 MPG not towing. Worst of 8 MPG was on flat I-90 in SD. I had headwinds about 30-40 MPH.

No current plans to buy another RV. This was our first RV. Really enjoyed the 5 seasons. We are considering a 55+ retirement community somewhere, or we might just stay in our current home. Either way we plan to car / motel travel in the foreseeable future.

Wow! That's really cool.....where all did you camp? Did you have any major breakdowns? How many tires did you wear out? What did you tow it with, and how did it do in the mountains?

Will you be buying another RV of some sort?

After 5 camping seasons, 4 rallies, 30 trips, 145 nights and 13,000+ miles with our 2015 177 we have sold it and have closed this chapter of our life. Time will only tell what the next one will be. This group and all of the terrific Podders we have meet along the way have given advice, entertainment and fellowship.
