GlueGuy really helped.  Found the fridge data tag behind the crisper.  The only one to have the part is Forest River.  They (as they are inclined to do) want a mere $239.00 for it (plus shipping).  In Canda it is $75 and UK $58.  Larceny! DIY fix had better work of buzzer gets drilled.

We have a 2015 179
Our refrigerator has been replaced, but I am sure the model is the same
Our refrigerator is definitely a RM-8501
The type is C40110
The product number is 00921712883
The serial number is 80800080
These numbers were on a sicker inside the refrigerator on the bottom right corner

My fridge beeped because excessive moisture found its way into the light switch at the latch.  To alleviate the problem when I was on the road I just disconnected the wire at that switch.  When I got home I moved the switch, dryed it out and use dielectric grease to keep out the moisture in the future. Complicated story, but trying to help son and his family who are on the road with 2015 Pod Forest River Edition and having an issue with the fridge beeping.  It is due to the door latch issue.  Dometic says they are replacing these latches but instructs him to go to dealer.  He's  on the road and wants to make arrangement ahead to be sure the part is there.  Buuuut, the model and product tag on the fridge can't be found.  Dometic says it can be anywhere, even on the top!  Without it, no part number is possible.  But dometic can't identify the part number without it, even though there's a TSB apparently.  I am guessing it is a model RM 8501 (it's a three way), but not certain.  If you have a 2015 Pod and have access to it, I would greatly appreciate the fridge model number, serial number, and any other numbers.  Dometic referenced a "product number".  I am grateful for your help.]]> Tue, 06 Aug 2019 15:56:55 +0000 http://www.rpod-owners.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=13094&PID=126235#126235
