+1. Always best to confirm you have what you think you have before making any new connections. A multimeter is a very good tool to have in your travel toolkit anyway if you don't already have one. Useful for sorting out many issues. 

I'd also suggest that you add an inline fuse between the battery positive connector and the wire leading to the solar connector on the side of the pod, it should be the smaller of the two wires connected to the battery, but you can confirm with the multimeter. FR should have put a fuse there, its just not safe to have unprotected wires running around your trailer and campsite. Batteries can put out an amazing amount of current through a short circuit. A 15 or 20 amp fuse and fuse holder like this should work well.

You could also consider just connecting your solar kit directly to the battery (also via a fuse) and bypassing the plug on the rPod. Simpler and does the same thing.

Bought a renogy 100 watt solar kit. So can anyone tell me if the plug on my R Pod {2018 190 } is reverse polarity from what the renogy is.
