The LP/CO detector will trigger if the 12V voltage drops below a certain point. This should only be an issue if you're boondocking or the converter is dead.

To run on 120Vac electric you need to be connected to a pedestal or other AC source, have the outside on/off switch turned ON, and have the dedicated circuit breaker in the panel (the one labelled water heater) turned ON.

Remember to turn either the circuit breaker and/or the outside switch to OFF when there is no water in the tank or you will burn out the heating element.

Everything was going fine until I turned on the hot water heater. After about 5 minutes the lp alarm starts wailing. I had to pull the fuse to stop it. I also turned off the inside switch that that was not working anyway with the fuse pulled. Does the heater work on electric if I only have the outside switch turned on? Thanks for your input.

Dan
