It's more brake controller than I need but it works fantastic. I brought it out this morning to to adjust it is so much easier and better than what I had ( a tekonsha voyager)&nbsp;]]>

It is great in that one can mount the parts where the controller is out of the way, the manual control is in easy reach, and the display is visible. I've had one since December, 2015. It has been very reliable. I had it first in a 2016 Escape and had to install the wiring harness. I moved it to our current 2010 Frontier and just had to get the proper adapter harness. That was a lot easier.<br>]]>

We do not even think about it. Its just there and works. We bought the optional adapters for our two vehicles so we did not have to splice any wires.&nbsp; Just plug and go.]]>

Reason I ask is because the OEM one we have for our F-150 provides for numerous trailers, and remembers the settings for each one. When it detects a trailer is attached, it asks me which trailer, and I just select R-pod to get it to the correct settings.]]>

Seems fitting, I guess, but I had it before I ever thought I'd be buying an r-pod.<div><br></div><div>It is a simple time-delay brake controller so it's not right for everyone, but works well with both of my trailers. It can be mounted at any angle or tilt, even upside down, 'hugging' the dash right above my knee.</div><div><br></div><div>Less than $50 including the adapter harness.</div>]]>

But I have three trailers and one is a car trailer, so am going to a P3 so I can preset each trailer. If you only have the rpod a P2 will be good.]]>

If you had multiple tow requirements, like electric and then electric over hydraulic, maybe justified, but end of day only so much you can do with a single wire source to a trailer brake. IMHO.]]>

I want something easy to adjust, so I assume a digital setting is easier. I also want one that is "self centering" ( It can be at any angle, and it will adjust itself to level) if that is such a thing.
