    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.rpod-owners.com/member_profile.asp?PF=1146" rel="nofollow">jato</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 12787<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 16 Mar 2021 at 11:52am<br /><br />Last year we replaced our 10 year old regulator as it had failed.&nbsp; When taking the propane lines off, a gooey substance came out on both the inlet and outlet side of the regulator.&nbsp; Was told that this would not happen if i were to turn propane off when not using for long periods of time.&nbsp; The only time I didn't have pressure in the lines would be when I was changing a tank out, otherwise the tank was always in the open position, even when sitting throughout the winter months.<br>]]>

It just stopped working for no apparent reason. Since knocking on the regulator made it unstuck, I assumed it was the regulator. I will check the pigtail as well. Thanks.]]>

I assume the vents getting blocked. I made a field "repair" by hitting it with a screwdriver handle a few times, but I need to replace the regulator eventually.
