The keder rail above the slide-out on our 2017 179 looks to be about 9mm (or 3/8"). When I measured it, it looks slightly larger than 9mm, but smaller than 10mm. I have a Lippert Slide out cover on my 178, retractable. Mounts to the existing above slide out keder rail. Yes, we have that cover on our 2016 179 and we used the factory R-Pod rail.

You'll want to bend the end of the rail to open it up a little when you feed the fabric to help prevent snags. I was planning to purchase the Carefree Slideout Cover for my 2017 179.  Does anyone know if it will slide into the aluminum bracket that is on the RPod (it has the drain spouts mounted to it) or will I have to mount the one from Carefree?
