A 2500 (AKA 3/4 ton) should be able to handle a tongue weight north of 1000 lbs, and none of the R-pods are in that range. Also as he stated, you may like the ride better with a WDH, regardless of whether you need it or not.

Thinking about an upgrade : For your truck, weight distribution...

For our truck, it's 1500lbs.

Now that doesn't mean you may not like using one... For our Pod, we towed with a Expedition, 9200 tow rating 900lb TW. The 385 or so pounds tongue weight we had was no issue on paper.. BUT, using a WDH, the big Ex rode better, and smoother. If you are happy with the ride you have now with the 179, I seriously doubt you will be unhappy with the 195. If you are, or just get WDH curious, give one a try, and if you don't, you still will be well within your trucks capabilities.
