My Honda 2K will run the A/C but nothing else simultaneously. The a/c takes about 15 amps which is right at the max for an 1850 watt genny. So with he easystart it will probably start on the generator but trip off as soon as the a/c compressor builds up back pressure. You could try it one time though, once you get the easystart installed.

And even standard non-inverter generators can make a racket on HF, esecially 80 and 40 meters.

Many MPPT solar controllers are also noisy, most PWM controllers are less noisy, I've had good luck with Morningstar and Renogy PWM types. In fact, the Morningstar Pro-Star PWM-15 that I have is 'telco' rated with an internal jumper for making the unit even quieter by reducing the switching speed. The Victron MPPT controller I have is quite noisy.

Also, laptop chargers and phone chargers can be very noisy on HF and VHF. Tons of questions, but most will work themselves out.. Next week I am installing the 200 watt Renogy Solar panels as part of my power system.. I am also looking at generators.. I have a Coleman Powermate 1850 that is quiet, but not sure it will run the TV and probably will not start the AC unit..The AC unit for the most part will not be a big issue living in Oregon on the coast.. But there might be a time.. So I have been looking at inverter generators.. A local shop has the Energizer eZV2000P for $499.00. It is Parallel capable and seems to get some good reviews. Does anyone have experience with this product.. Also would on it's own work the AC? I am a HAM Radio operator amd look forward to making this my portable Ham Shack...
